I’d like to start off by wishing a happy belated Mother’s Day to all you mama’s out there. Hope everyone had a lovely day yesterday with family and fun!
As you may or may not know I recently was blessed to have went on the inaugural sailing of The Royal Caribbean Empress of the Seas from Tampa, Florida to Havana, Cuba with some stops in between.
I had the best time and highly recommend it especially for anyone wanting to see Havana. It was the perfect way to do so in my opinion. We’ll cover Cuba in a later post but today we’re going to be talking about our first stop in Cozumel, Mexico.
Even though our first stop was in Cozumel, we’re not really going to be talking about it. That’s because we didn’t spend much time there at all. While I was looking for things to do in Cozumel I saw that my cruise line offered a shore excursion from Cozumel that takes you to Chichen Itza. That was it for me. I didn’t have to search for anything further, I knew that was what I had to do.
It has always been a dream of mine to visit Chichen Itza. Thats why it didn’t bother me that the tour included a good bit of travel time going and coming, about three hours each way. A lot of people probably wouldn’t was to spend majority of a day your docked in a bus but I was more than willing to get to the end goal.
It was definitely worth it and if you ever have the opportunity to see Chichen Itza I highly recommend it. There is a reason it a Wonder of the World, it’s AMAZING!
I have to say this outfit was perfect for this day to. It was HOT!!! This hat and Free People bodysuit I picked up were essential for my survival, and it was super cute to if I do say so myself.
